Day 1
Settling In
Arrive around 1:30 PM at Guanacaste International Airport. We will shuttle over to the base of the Miravalles Volcano where our treehouse bungalow awaits!
Guests will be welcomed with refreshments upon arrival and guided through the property on a tour.
After settling in, Shade & Travel guests will meet on the property's lush gardens for a welcome dinner with Francesca!
Day 2
Thermal River + Hot Springs
On this day, guests will embark on a white water tubing expedition. This adventure meanders through over a mile of stunning canyon landscape, narrow rock walls and rolling whitewater.

Once the activity is over, guests can visit the thermal canyon & springs. It's a mile long and is blessed with dozens of natural pools of varying temperatures —perfect for mud baths.
After our excursion, we will return to the property's grounds leaving guests the freedom to enjoy the night however they see fit.
Day 3
Free Day | R&R | Rio Celeste Waterfall
General Itinerary (Included in Core Experience)
Today is the day to simply lay by the pool and enjoy your time in the jungle without any set plans. Feel free to take advantage of the complimentary yoga and/or guided hikes on the property.
Rio Celeste Waterfall (*Add-On Option)
This all-day experience takes you to one of Costa Rica’s most incredible sights: the enchanting Río Celeste. This river’s stunning turquoise color is the result of a chemical reaction between sulfur and carbonate, making it a unique natural wonder.
Tabacon Hot Springs (*Add-On Option)
Discover Costa Rica´s largest network of naturally flowing thermal mineral springs in Arenal’s largest and most beautiful private, rainforest reserve. An essential part of exploring the wondrous world of the Tabacon Hot Springs is soaking in the cascading thermal waterfalls. This natural hydrotherapy is a surefire way to achieve proper relaxation.

Day 4
Canyon Zipline Adventure
Ready for even more of a thrill? Following breakfast, guests will explore Costa Rica's beauty by gliding through the jungle via zip line. The zip line course includes:

Day 5
Heading Home
On the morning of this day, we'll shuttle over to the airport and depart for our flight back to NYC (JFK).

All guests must have a roommate for this group trip. If you are a solo traveler, you can be paired with a roommate of the same gender upon request.The below payment options reflect pricing based on one-half of the two person bundle. To secure your spot, each guest will have to pay a deposit of $438 or pay for the trip in full. This trip can be paid for on a 6 month payment plan. All of our trips can be paid for in full or through a Shade & Travel pricing plan. Of note, a 3% tax will be added at the checkout page for all trip offerings. Pricing will reflect.
