Then, venture to Kyoto, where you'll spend a day exploring the iconic Arashiyama district, visiting historic temples, wandering through the famous bamboo forest, and meeting the area's beloved monkeys.

Outbound Travel: Please plan to arrive at Haneda International Airport around 1:00PM-3:00PM GMT

Airport Transportation: Roundtrip airport transportation is included in the total trip price if you are arriving/departing from Haneda Airport. Please ensure you are landing/departing around the above time slots. If you arrive/depart outside of this window, you will be responsible for your own transfers.
Day 1 (May 7)
Land in Tokyo + Welcome Dinner
Please plan to arrive at Haneda Airport between 1:00PM and 3:00PM. After clearing customs, we’ll take a shuttle to our hotel in the heart of Tokyo, where you’ll have time to settle in and unwind after your journey.

Once settled into the hotel, guests are invited to join us for a welcome dinner. This will be a great opportunity to meet your fellow travelers, enjoy your first taste of Japan, and kick off an unforgettable adventure together.
Day 2
Mario Kart Excursion
On this day, guests will embark on a private Mario Kart-style excursion through the streets of Tokyo, offering a unique blend of sightseeing, adventure, and unforgettable city views. Before setting off, guests will have the opportunity to select a character-inspired costume and get into the spirit of the experience.
Following the excursion, we’ll return to our hotel, allowing guests the remainder of the day to relax, explore the city, or enjoy Tokyo at their leisure.
Day 3
Free Day | Disney Land/Sea Add On
General Itinerary (Core Experience)
Ready to explore Tokyo on your own? Today is the perfect opportunity to wander the city at your leisure. Spend the day discovering hidden cafés, browsing local boutiques, visiting historic temples and shrines, or simply soaking in the energy of one of the world’s most dynamic cities.
Add On Option: Spend the day at Disney Sea or Tokyo Disneyland, two of Japan’s most beloved attractions. Whether you're seeking thrilling rides, immersive themed lands, or a touch of Disney magic, this optional experience offers something for every type of traveler.
Day 4
Walking Food Tour Experience
On this day, guests will join a guided walking food tour through the vibrant streets of Tokyo, offering an authentic introduction to the city’s world-famous culinary scene. Led by a local expert, the experience will take us beyond the typical tourist spots and into neighborhoods beloved by locals.
Throughout the tour, guests will sample a variety of Japanese specialties while learning about the history, culture, and traditions behind each dish. From hidden eateries to bustling food alleys, this experience provides a deeper look into Tokyo’s dynamic food culture and everyday life.

Following the tour, guests will have the remainder of the evening to continue exploring Tokyo, enjoy the city’s nightlife, or return to the hotel at their leisure.
Day 5
Head to Kyoto
On this day, guests will check out of our Tokyo hotel and journey to Kyoto aboard Japan’s world-famous high-speed bullet train. Known for its comfort, efficiency, and impressive speed, the train ride offers a unique travel experience and a glimpse into Japan’s innovative transportation system.
The journey to Kyoto takes approximately two hours, allowing guests time to relax and take in the scenery along the way. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to our hotel and settle into our new surroundings before beginning the next chapter of our Japanese adventure.
Day 6
Cultural Exploration Day
Today, guests will embark on a guided journey through Arashiyama, one of Kyoto’s most picturesque and culturally rich districts. Accompanied by a local guide, we’ll explore some of the area’s most iconic landmarks while learning about the history and traditions that make Kyoto so special.

Highlights of the day include a visit to the famous Bamboo Grove, a stroll through historic temple grounds, and a trip to the renowned Monkey Park, where guests can enjoy panoramic views of Kyoto and observe the park’s resident monkeys in their natural habitat.
Day 7
Free Day | Tea & Matcha Experience Add On
Ready to explore Kyoto at your own pace? Today is the perfect opportunity to wander through the city's charming streets, discover hidden cafés, browse local artisan shops, or visit the historic temples and gardens that make Kyoto one of Japan’s most beloved destinations.

Add On Option: Guests may choose to participate in a traditional tea and matcha-making ceremony, where they'll learn about the history, etiquette, and artistry behind one of Japan's most treasured cultural traditions.
Day 8
Head Home
Following breakfast, we’ll check out of the hotel and make our way to Osaka Itami Airport, located approximately 45 minutes from our accommodations. From there, we’ll take a short flight back to Haneda Airport in Tokyo.
Once we arrive at Haneda, travelers can head to their respective international terminals for flights back to the United States.

Continue to Kyoto, where you'll discover historic temples, peaceful bamboo forests, and the timeless traditions that make Japan so captivating. Throughout the journey, enjoy unforgettable experiences, local flavors, and the perfect balance of exploration and comfort. All guests must have a roommate for this group trip. If available, we can pair you with a roommate of the same gender. The below payment option reflect pricing based on one-half of the two person bundle. To secure your spot, each guest will have to pay a non-refundable deposit or pay for the trip in full. This trip can be paid for on a 9 month payment plan.
