Please note – Day 1 of our trip begins on April 17. If you're flying from the United States, your flight will depart on April 16, but due to the time difference, you'll arrive on April 17 when the trip begins.

Airport Transportation: Roundtrip airport transportation is included in the total trip price. Please ensure you are landing/departing around the above time slots if you choose to book your own airfare. If you arrive/depart outside of this window, you will be responsible for your own transfers.
Day 1 (April 17th)
Land in Porto
Please arrive at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport by 10:00AM. After clearing customs, we’ll take a shuttle to our hotel. Once we’ve settled in, we’ll take a private car to a popular local restaurant for a welcome dinner, which is included in the core itinerary, to kick off the trip.
Day 2
Portuguese Food Tour + Optional Fado Show Experience
On this day, guests will embark on a guided Portuguese food tour through Porto, discovering local flavors and culinary traditions while enjoying wines carefully paired throughout the experience. After our activities, we will return to our hotel leaving guests the freedom to enjoy the night.

In the evening, guests may opt to immerse themselves in the soulful tradition of Fado with a live performance in an intimate local venue!
Day 3
Day Trip: Guimarães & Braga
On this day, guests will journey to the historic cities of Braga and Guimarães, beginning with the Bom Jesus Sanctuary and Braga’s impressive cathedral. After a traditional Portuguese lunch with regional wine, the experience continues in Guimarães, where guests will explore the medieval streets, castle, and Ducal Palace in the city known as the birthplace of Portugal.
Day 4
Head to Douro Valley
Today, we’ll check out of our city hotel and travel to the valley by private charter, a journey of about one hour. Once we've arrived and settled in, guests will have time to explore the property, unwind at the spa, or enjoy the hotel’s other amenities.
Day 5
Bespoke Wine, Cheese & Olive Oil Pairing
On this day, guests will enjoy a scenic boat ride along the Douro Valley before visiting two renowned local estates for guided tours and tastings of premium Vinho Verde wines and olive oil. A regional lunch with carefully paired wines will be served to complete the experience.
Day 6
Heading Home
On this day, we'll check out of our hotel and embark on a comfortable and scenic journey back to Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, enjoying the breathtaking mountain views along the way.

On this journey through Portugal, you'll experience the perfect blend of culture and luxury. Start by exploring the vibrant streets of Porto, soaking in the city’s charm and rich culinary traditions. Finally, escape to the breathtaking Douro Valley, where rolling vineyards and serene river views provide the perfect setting to complete your adventure. All guests must have a roommate for this group trip. The below payment options reflect pricing based on one-half of the two person bundle. To secure your spot, each guest will have to pay a deposit ranging from $446 - $601 or pay for the trip in full. Please note, the deposit price reflects on if flight is included. This trip can be paid for on a 6 month payment plan. All of our trips can be paid for in full or through a Shade & Travel pricing plan.
